The BEST Ice Cream in Glasgow?!

If you live in Glasgow and haven't ever visited Loop and Scoop - what are you doing?! You are seriously missing out!

It was a cold, autumnal Monday evening and my friends and I decided this was the perfect time to drive to Loop and Scoop - a bit ironic considering the weather, however this was the best idea we could have had! Loop and Scoop is located in the West End of Glasgow on Great Western Road and is definitely worth a visit if you are visiting or live within the Glasgow area.

Loop and Scoop located within the West End of Glasgow

Loop and Scoop is the first Ice Cream and Churros Bar within the UK. The bar offers a variety of flavours of Ice Cream and Churros dipped in different toppings. However, the venue is most famous for its 'Loop and Scoop' option which includes a loop (the churro) and two scoops of Ice Cream of your choice. When I visited I decided to go for this option with a churro dipped in chocolate and for my flavours I chose Strawberry and Malteser. The Ice Cream is amazing and you can understand why it is award winning. My friends also got a box of churros with a dark chocolate dip which was amazing as the Churros are so delicious and crunchy! We also tried out the Mint Chocolate Ice Cream which was surprisingly nice (and I usually strongly dislike Mint Chocolate Ice Cream). Also, don't worry if you are lactose intolerant or vegan as Loop and Scoop also offer a large variety of flavours that are free from dairy, making this a perfect spot for everyone! They also offer a selection of hot and cold drinks.

The desserts at this cafe are reasonably priced with a 'Loop and Scoop' setting you back £6.75. Two scoops of Ice Cream will cost £3.50 in a tub or cone. I think this is good value for money considering how big the portions are (I struggled to finish the Loop and Scoop). The quality of the Ice Cream is amazing, making it worth every penny.

Due to COVID-19 the venue currently is only open for takeaways and a face mask is mandatory when ordering your Ice Cream and Churros in store. Inside Loop and Scoop the cafe is all decorated with autumnal leaves which really gets you in the mood for the autumnal season. As this place is only offering takeaway you could take a small walk down the road to the Botanic Gardens and enjoy your desserts in this beautiful park (weather dependent of course).

This is getting added to Row's Recommendations with a 8/10 rating. I can't wait to go back and try more of the delicious Ice Cream flavours that this place has to offer!
