The BEST Ice Cream in Glasgow?!

Image
If you live in Glasgow and haven't ever visited Loop and Scoop - what are you doing?! You are seriously missing out! It was a cold, autumnal Monday evening and my friends and I decided this was the perfect time to drive to Loop and Scoop - a bit ironic considering the weather, however this was the best idea we could have had! Loop and Scoop is located in the West End of Glasgow on Great Western Road and is definitely worth a visit if you are visiting or live within the Glasgow area.  Loop and Scoop located within the West End of Glasgow Loop and Scoop is the first Ice Cream and Churros Bar within the UK. The bar offers a variety of flavours of Ice Cream and Churros dipped in different toppings. However, the venue is most famous for its 'Loop and Scoop' option which includes a loop (the churro) and two scoops of Ice Cream of your choice. When I visited I decided to go for this option with a churro dipped in chocolate and for my flavours I chose Strawberry and Mal...

Pasta from Glasgow made better than pasta from Italy?!...surely not

Image
Coming from an Italian family I find it very difficult to find pasta at a restaurant that still hits the same taste buds as the pasta that is made by my Italian grandma. However, Sugo's pasta has to be one of the BEST pasta (from a restaurant) I have ever tasted! If you don't believe me you need to try for yourself... Source: TripAdvisor  Sugo is located right in the centre of Glasgow on Mitchell street and is bringing all of the Italian delights to Glasgow. The pasta is freshly made by expert chefs using the same authentic techniques used in Italy. As soon as you take your first bite you can taste the quality of the pasta.  Every time I have walked past Sugo I have always seen it full of people and I think this speaks volumes in showing how good it really is! You can book a table at Sugo, however it isn't essential due to the service being so quick you wouldn't have to wait long till a table becomes available (even where there is a HUGE queue outside, which due to S...

Gourmet kebabs?!...surely not

Image
Located on West Nile Street, the heart of Glasgow's city centre, this gourmet kebab house is giving us all of the Mediterranean feels! Upon entry the atmosphere hits you, transporting you away to the deep blue seas and sun-drenched isles of the Mediterranean paradise - an escape from the cold, rainy streets of Glasgow. Photo credits: Chris Radley Serving up a variety of different street food, this restaurant  is paying homage to the kebab's heritage. Customers can enjoy typical dishes from Greece, Turkey and Levant. 'Babs offer a variety of food including: nibbles, sharing platters, burgers, gyros and different styles of gourmet kebabs. I had the cheese burger and it was honestly hands down the best cheese burger I have ever had! I would definitely recommend it! It should be noted that the burgers don't come with fries so if you're feeling hungry definitely add a side of fries.  The best Cheese Burger I have ever had! 'Babs also have a great drink selection, off...

An exotic island in Glasgow?...surely not

Image
How else would you rather spend your day than forgetting about all your worries and stresses and sipping on an icy cold cocktail?! Sounds ideal, doesn't it? Well, I have found the perfect place to turn this dream into a reality...Tiki Bar & Kitsch Inn. This bar provides the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. As soon as you step into the venue you are transported into an exotic island haven. An exotic escape in Glasgow...Tiki Bar Upon entry into the bar we were greeted by a lovely staff member and shown to our seats. It should be noted that Tiki bar doesn't take drinks bookings and it is just a walk in basis. My friends and I went on a Tuesday evening at around 7pm and there were only a few other groups in. There were plenty of seats inside and there is also a beer garden to the side of the bar which usually has people sitting in it (that is when the weather isn't freezing and wet, something that doesn't happen often in Glasgow). However, for the ...
